The repairs we do most out here
- Backed-out fasteners and rusted laps on exposed-fastener metal roofs
- Failed sealant at ridge caps, transitions and penetrations
- Split pipe boots and damaged vents on homes
- Hail-bruised shingles and wind-lifted tabs after a storm
- Blisters, splits and flashing failures on older built-up roofs over storefronts
- Clogged drains and ponding on flat commercial roofs
Metal roof repair, specifically
A leaking metal roof rarely needs replacing. Screws back out as panels expand and contract through Kansas temperature swings, sealant at the laps dries and cracks, and rust starts at the fastener holes. Re-fastening with oversized screws, sealing the laps and, where it is worth it, adding a restoration coating solves most of it for a fraction of a new roof.
After a storm
The April 28, 2025 storm that dropped 1.75-inch hail across parts of Riley County is a good example: damage that looked minor from the driveway, leaks the following season. If hail or high wind has come through, get a documented inspection while the damage is still clearly tied to the event — see hail damage.
Emergency leaks
Water coming in now gets stabilized first — tarping or a temporary patch — and repaired properly once things are dry. Call (800) 674-9535 and say the leak is active. Expect a 25–50% premium for after-hours work, which is exactly what a maintenance plan is designed to avoid.
Frequently asked questions
Is it worth repairing an old roof?
Sometimes a repair is a deliberate way to buy a budget year, and that is legitimate as long as you know that is what you are buying. We will say which it is.
Do you charge for the inspection?
No. Inspections are free in our service area, and you keep the photos and report either way.
Can you match shingles on a partial repair?
Usually, if the line is still made. Weathered shingles never match perfectly, and we will show you before installing.
Do you work on shops and outbuildings?
Yes — metal repairs, re-fastening and coatings on shops, barns and machine sheds.
